Worship

Weekly Services

Our main weekly worship service is Sunday morning at 10:00am.

Altar Flowers

Flowers are placed at the altar as a symbol that every Sunday celebrates Easter, the Resurrection of Jesus, and God’s amazing gift of salvation. Flowers are donated each week by parishioners. We provide these flowers to:

  • Bless us all each Sunday and enhance our worship.
  • Commemorate a loved one in Memory, in Thanksgiving, in Honor.
  • Celebrate a special gift, event, blessing.
  • Be taken to those who are ill or unable to get to church or gifted elsewhere.

A $30 flower donation covers the $30 cost each week for the minimum display. You can provide more money if desired and a larger display will be ordered. You can even design your own display! You can donate yourself, or with one or more others to decrease your expense!

Include the money or check with your Sunday offering (be sure to write flowers/date/reason on the envelope) or use your own envelope and mail it to church or place it in the treasurer’s mailbox. If no money has been donated for flowers, a silk display will be used.

The Altar Flowers sign up sheet is located in the downstairs hall, and remember that a minimum of two weeks lead time is requested.

Did You Know? – Lectionary

Did you know that a Lectionary is a collection of scripture readings appointed for worship on a given day or occasion?

At New Life we use the Revised Common Lectionary for our Sunday lessons.

Vanderbilt Divinity School provides a great resource for finding this weeks scheduled lesson, as well as the lessons to read for any week of the three year church cycle.
