Another delicious Chili Cook-Off is in the books! The January 26, 2020 Cook-Off followed the Annual Congregational Meeting. It featured special guest judges from the Uniontown Fire Department (see photos!). Scott Bridges won first place with his White Chicken Chili, and he shared his recipe with the firefighters as a thank you.
Cook-Off Coordinators Joe and Charlyn Bridges had the great idea to invite the firefighters to be judges. They were happy to help! When asked if they ever judged a chili Cook-Off before, they said “we’ve never judged it, but we are really good at eating it!” They now have two award winning recipes from New Life to try!
The other award winners were MJ Maling in second place and Bo Iole in third place. Many thanks to organizers Joe and Charlyn, all who brought in chili or soup, and for all the set-up and clean-up helpers. (Too many to name!) We had yet another fun coffee hour/lunch at New Life, where we have a well-deserved reputation for our food!
