Adam Keeler Classical Guitar Concert October 13, 4:30 PM

Free concert is open to the public

After the Browns, before dinner. Enjoy a sublime classical guitar concert and in an hour and a half lower your blood pressure, relax, reduce anxiety, increase your libido (!) and boost your cognitive function.* Just in time to begin your productive week!

Playing Bach and some of his own material, Adam Keeler will impress you with his talent. He’s been playing guitar for 25 years and teaching for over 12. In 1999, he traveled to France to study under virtuoso fingerstyle player Pierre Bensusan, which was followed by the release of his debut CD, “The Rest of Angels” (available on iTunes). His CD has been favorably reviewed by such artists as Michael Manring and Pierre Bensusan.

After switching to classical guitar in 2005, Adam was twice named the Outstanding Guitarist of the Year in The University of Akron’s Bachelor of Music program and became a finalist in the James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition for two consecutive years. Adam holds a Masters degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Akron. He teaches classical guitar at Ashland University and is the Headmaster of The Academy of Culture & Arts at St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church in Akron.

Adam has been providing the serene and meditative music for New Life’s Taizé Prayer Services, enhancing the contemplative prayer and worship experience of attendees. New Life is thankful for Adam’s beautiful gift of music, and thankful for his sharing it with us!
