Youth Group Information

New Life’s Youth Group serves teens and young adults in the parish in grades 7 through 12.  The focus of the group is growing closer to Christ, fellowship, education, discipleship, service, and a safe place for questioning and grappling with the issues of today. These young adults are our future church leaders, so they are exposed to the wider church through Diocesan and National youth mission events and trips.  The Youth of the parish also serve the church in various ministries, including worship (acolytes, lectors), events, fundraising, care of the building and property, Children’s Sunday School, Choir, and others.

For more information about the Youth Group, please contact Samantha Heitger or Jeff Papadeonise.

Youth Group Vision

As we took part in the New Life Camping Trip for our second year in 2012, we decided it was time to commit ourselves to working with our great young folks on a year-round basis. Camp is fun, and help us grow together, but we need more regular connection to help the kids know God and know one another well.

Our goal for the New Life Youth Group is to foster a relationship between the youth and God through the use of modern film. We would like the youth to answer the question: How are we able to recognize God in our lives? We will start wit the Harry Potter series.

A second goal is to foster relationships among the youth of New Life. We are planning a lock-in in February. At this event we will grow further in our faith and in our relationship with God. We are looking forward to building this relationship with the youth of New Life to help them develop a stronger and deeper faith which will assist them for their journey through life.
