New Life’s Children’s Sunday School serves Elementary (grades K-5) and Middle School age (grades 6-8) children. The age lines blur as younger children outgrow the nursery and want to join the Sunday School, and as older teens choose the ministry of serving the children of the parish. The curriculum is selected for age appropriate lessons and activities that teach children about the Bible and Bible Stories, application of Bible lessons to everyday discipleship, the Christian faith, and building Christian character. The children learn about and have opportunities to perform Christian service, while having fun with their friends at church. The Children’s Sunday School is planned, supported and taught by volunteers from the parish, and classes are held in the Sunday School classrooms and activity room located downstairs on the Social Hall level of the church.
Children at New Life also have the opportunity to be involved in Worship and Fellowship. They serve as Acolytes, and they are involved in performances and special services, such as the Children’s Christmas Program, the All Hallows Day Service, and various others throughout the year. Special Events are held periodically for children and families, such as New Life’s Annual Halloween Boo-Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt.
New Life is a kid-friendly church, and New Life parishioners tend to dote on the children. Just a friendly warning to parents!
