Renewed Purpose and Vitality!
New Life participated in Revitalize Ohio in 2016. Revitalize Ohio brings together small groups of parishes to work collaboratively towards renewed purpose and vitality. Clergy and lay leaders from our respective churches attended workshops, which were led by The Rev. Brad Purdom. The focus was on how to re-engage with each other and our communities in a journey of discovery and discernment.
Our Revitalize Ohio group includes: St. Mark’s, Canton, St. Paul’s, Canton, St. Timothy’s, Massillon, St. Timothy’s, Macedonia, and Trinity, Alliance. A Two-Year Process
Revitalize Ohio is designed to be a two year process. The first year consisted of training, networking and planning. Members from New Life participated in the following workshops.
Developing a Culture of Invitation, hosted by St. Paul’s
Nourishing a Culture of Adult Faith Formation, hosted by New Life
Moving Back into the Neighborhood, hosted by St. Mark’s
During the second year, participating congregations will be developing and implementing their respective action plans. New Life’s focus will be on our search for a new Rector. All of our efforts in the past year have been to prepare for the search. Indeed, participation in Revitalize Ohio has helped us with those preparations!
