While New Life Episcopal Church is rich in its traditional music and anthems, the Episcopal Church is fortunate to have a variety of official hymnals. In addition to the Hymnal 1982, the mainstay of our congregational music, the church also uses music from "Wonder, Love and Praise," a more recent supplement to the Hymnal, and "Lift Every Voice and Sing II," the Episcopal Church's official African-American hymnal.

"Wonder, Love and Praise" is an eclectic collection of hymns and spiritual sings and is intended as a continuation of the Hymnal 1982.

“Lift Every Voice and Sing II" contains music drawn form Negro spirituals, traditional and contemporary Gospel songs, adapted Protestant hymns, missionary and evangelistic hymns and service music and mass settings in both traditional and Gospel setting. It is a rich resource.

Persons new to the Episcopal Church will find some of the "old-time" music as well as the traditional Anglican fare.
